Last week we left off with the 1943 ‘Cowshed girls’, the first year of Brigidine Secondary School girls taking their lessons in the old farm shed at the back of the convent - a former dairy at 12 Salvado Road.
The first cohort of Brigidine Secondary School students graduated in 1948, and in 1949 the first alumni reunion was held in the newly built premises next door, at 14 Salvado Road, Wembley/Subiaco.
Around 32 beautifully dressed young ladies came to this first reunion, and they are captured squinting straight into the blinding sun in these three wonderful photos, which now form part of the Sister Dorothea Hickey (1955) Photographic Collection.
Most have been identified, though some are still unknown; names on each photo. If you can help, please tag or comment below, or email archives@newman.wa.edu.au.
