Inspired by the Art Deco & Modernist Society of Western Australia’s recent publication Picture Palaces of the Golden West, this exhibition pays homage to the evolution of the motion pictures shows in the West.
Picture Palaces also brings to life the Revelation journey with the first public display of poster artworks, artefacts and festival narratives from the Revelation Film Festival's 20 year history in Perth.
Picture Palaces tells the story of the history of film and theatre in Western Australia. It aims to captivate wonder, imagination, and be a point of reminisce for movie and theatre fans of days gone by.
Picture Palaces is proudly presented by the City of Perth
